Slides and Notes
The following are Adobe PDF (portable document format) files containing handouts of the PowerPoint slides and handouts I use in class. They may differ from what is actually presented in class, because I often work on the class presentations until just before I give them, and some of these slides are from prior semesters (so be especially careful about dates and deadlines-they may not be accurate for this term). Be sure to consult the official syllabus for the correct due dates and exam dates.
To read these files, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher installed on your computer. It is available free from Adobe. I hope these notes are useful, and would appreciate feedback (e-mail me at david_dearden@byu.edu). Finally, I acknowledge and appreciate the work of Professors Juliana Boerio-Goates, John Lamb, and Lu Giddings, who provided the original versions of the PowerPoint slides I have modified to produce the notes given here, and of Professor Grant Mason, who allowed us to link to his material.
New links to Exam Review Questions below (as of 12 Apr 2000). I also strongly recommend you look at the web course materials (see the Internet course materials link on the PS 100 course home page, but only available on the BYU campus) as an excellent review.
