PFT3DR
Conventions
The programs PFT2 and EM3DR2 follow the 3DEM
Image Conventions with the following exceptions:
1. Internally the third rotation angle (psi) is replaced by
omega, where omega = -psi. The input parameter file--and Bsoft
programs--accept either omega or psi and convert angles
appropriately. In addition, PFT2, EM3DR2, and Bsoft programs also
accept the view
vector and angle notation (see conventions
description) as input.
2. The icosahedral convention is rotated 90 deg. about the z-axis
(designated I90) from the standard
orientation (designated I). Maps can be rotated by the
following Bsoft
command to the standard orientation:
bint -reslice -yxz input.map output.map
However, an icosahedral map must always be in the I90 orientation
whenever it is used as input for PFT2. Neither PFT2 or EM3DR2 is
designed to work with the I orientation.
